Surprisingly, the most party-animal element to the Olympics is none other than the Holland House, also called the Heineken House. While not free, it is open to the public. Apparently, Holland is of the belief the more the merrier, and merry it is. Their huge house has an enormous, casual outdoor area with beer in plastic cups, live performances, food and most importantly, every expat who lives in Beijing. The place has a charming, frat house feel that seems to work. There hasn't been a place that served this purpose since Sanlitun South Street was demolished years ago.
Besides the Holland House, Holland supporters are out in numbers at the Games. I can't help but wonder if they have the most nationals visiting the Games, or if they are just extremely good at making their presence felt. Either way, if you spot the people in orange, you've just found the party.
