One thing that really irks me is when people say 'Florida isn't really the South'. These people are dumb. For some reason, they only see the coastline and sandy beaches, and don't think of anything in between. If you drive even five miles (that's right, not using the metric system still...) inland, you are in the country, as in, backy farms and cattle as far as the eye can see. There is a twang, there is dip and there is some good food, slow cooked of course.
Here's one of my favorite photos from when I first took Dom (my English rose) to the sunshine state. In typical classy southern fashion, I made a pit stop at the good ol' alligator farm. Here's an albino alligator, which isn't common so I thought I'd share him with you. I'm pretty sure there was some cheesy 80's movie by that name...
