tears in california

While the election can be considered something that all Americans can be proud of, I'm shocked and saddened by the passing of Proposition H8te in California. California voted to add a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I don't care if people think its wrong or right - but what really bothers me is the passing of a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT that is a civil rights abuse.

They are still waiting for absentee ballots, so its not the end yet. But to add discriminatory measures to a constitution that is based on freedom and rights for all, is just so backwards. It wasn't in the constitution to begin with - so adding it in this day and age is just outrageous.

Love thy neighbor?
